Rome, Off the Monument
The place
The same day, away from the square. A city that keeps its own hours around the monuments — a cart being opened, a road being crossed, the Colosseum standing there while someone scoots past it.
Rome, the eternal city. Walking around Rome feels like stepping back in time, with its white stone, beautiful arches, and tall structures. But more than that, Rome is about its people. Then and now.
It was almost 9am, he was opening up his stall.
I always wonder, where he is going, and is it hot under the robe.
